hi my sweet baby!
guess what?
you're finally LOADING!!!
your Dad and i just found out this Monday, June 1st, that i've been 4 weeks pregnant with you.
we were so excited, we tried to get an ultrasound done right away, but it was too soon. we're a week early, apparently. but now, when we go back, we'll hear your heartbeat! WHOA.
it's mind-blowing that i'm growing a tiny human. soon to be a large human! but first, a small watermelon-sized one. Dad and i are still in some form of shock. him maybe more than me, but he is beyond excited and just big cheesy about your arrival.
...
September 14th
my baby.
i hadn't returned to this letter yet because...well, you was kicking mama's ass in that uterus! i was bedridden for two months. this is already the hardest thing i've ever had to do. and, i'm honored you chose us...chose me.
i was in too much pain to finish my thoughts and write to you. i was able to think a little and decide where i want to write the rest of your letters, and i've decided that will be in a personal journal to you, as pen and paper live on. we've learned so much about you, and in a few weeks, friends and family will gather to celebrate you thanks to the facilitation of your eager aunties, TeeTees, and big cousins. goodness i love them so. and you will, too. our family stretches beyond the normies. you're coming into an interesting situation, but it has bloomed from the mud in a gutter into something truly vibrant and unique.
i can't wait to celebrate you and welcome you into this world.
you're already surrounded by joy and support - i'm quite blown away, if i'm honest! but, sooooooooo very grateful!! grateful for this village i've gained over the years of meeting and loving people.
take your time. all of the 40-41 weeks that you need.
we may see you February 4th, 2027.
we love you, my sweet baby.
